History:

From humble beginnings in 1958 to today being Bayside’s most successful cricket and arguably sporting club, ESCC can track its success through the many people who have volunteered in order to give to the local community.

In the beginning the club was formed as a local youth group that provided an outlet for the younger generation to play sport and socialise. Based at Chisholm Reserve in Sandringham, with little in the way of facilities, one of the first great volunteers was Marg Francis who offered the sleep out of her family home (located across the street) as a change room. Marg continued to be involved with the club for many years to come and along with Lois West and Cheryl Tregenza, organised the 25th Anniversary celebration for the club. The event hosted in excess of 300 people which is testament to the great role and influence the club has had on those in the local region.

Fast forward to today and we are proud to say the many generations of the original members along with plenty of new faces have enjoyed what ESCC has been able to offer the local community.

Our success can be measured in our feats on the cricket field, players we have developed, friendships we have made and the club that we have built.
