1sts Great Escape, Others Do Well
The 1sts were in big trouble in their home match against Washington Park, stumbling from 2/76 to be 8/137. Jayme Saleem (45) and Mitch Strahan (19) underlined their importance to the 1sts, adding 62 for the 9th wicket to enable the boys to reach a defendable total of 9/200.
The 2nds travelled to Packer Park to take on Washington Park and bowled first. Kim Pitt (4/20) and Mitch Elms (2/46) were the leading wicket takers as we restricted the home team to a total of 246.
The 3rds played Bentleigh ANA away and proved too much for the home team, knocking them over for 120. Scott Campbell was the chief destroyer with 5/33 wgile Alex Hill took 3/40. The boys were 0/18 in response at stumps.
The 4ths took on Bentleigh ANA at home, and batting first, the boys fared very well lead by an unbeaten 62* by Cudds and welcome returns to form for Graeme Diggle (46) and Doggy (39).
