Not Just Good, But Great(erex)
The 1sts were at home against Kingston Heath, won the toss and opted to bat which was about the only thing that went right for the day. After a top order collapse, Danny Corp was the shining light with 49, but then we lost our last 5 wickets for 12 runs to be all out for 103. Kingston Heath were 0/25 at stumps.
The 2nds travelled to Omega, won the toss and put the home team into bat. Some good fielding resulted in 3 run outs, wile Strahany took 2/48 off 22 overs to have Omega only reach 188 from 65 overs.
The 3rds headed out to Fawkner Park to take on Melbourne Wanderers and won the toss and opted to bat. Many of tha bats got a start, nobody really went on with it, while Jeremy Dunning returned to form with a top score of 49 as the boys were all out for 197.
The 4ths looked to be in trouble against Cheltenham Park with the visitors ratching up 150 runs in the first 30 overs for the loss of only 3 wickets. But then a stirring combeack lead by James Napier (3/42) allowed the boys to have the vistors all out for 219. The 4ths were 1/25 at stumps in response.
Alex Greaterex unleashed a darker side as he tore through premiership aspirants East Bentleigh Central for the 6ths with 5/39. Despite the tail wagging a bit, the visitors were bowled out for 150. The lads were 1/15 in their 7 overs before stumps.
