Zebras Looking The Goods


For the frst time this season, play was possible on the first week of a two-week round.

The 1sts lined up in their must-win game against Le Page and batted at Chishom Reserve. And all round good performance delivered a score of 8/246 from 72 overs which puts the team in an excellent position for next week before the Christmas break.

The 2nds were washed out at Elsternwick against Hampton United due to the torrential rain earlier in the week and will settle for a one-dayer next week.

The 3rds bowled first in their game against Brighton District, with Treder, Rob Devereaux and Benny Rawlings all starring with the ball to have the home team all out for 146. Treder finished the day with the figures of 17 overs, 3 maidens and 4/45, while Rob finished with 15 overs, 6 maidens and 2/24. Boo finished with figures of 7 overs, 1 maiden, 2/16. In reply, the boys, were 0/16 after 10 overs.

The 4ths continued their good run of form with an impressive 9/292 from their allotted overs against Moorabbin West at Holloway Road.

And finally, the 6ths had a great day against North Caulfield/Glenhuntly with Jeremy Dunning making 93 and Chris Bishop agonisingly out for 99 in an excellent batting display. More information available in the 6ths match report.
