Great starts set teams up in Rd 7

Five of the six senior teams have themselves setup well at the half way mark of round 7.

Luke Dallas with 62 continued on with his great T20 form against Elwood to have the Longmuir boys posting 199. He was well supported by Mark Devereaux on his return from injury with 37. Although there was a late collapse a disciplined team bowling and fielding performance should see them over the line.

Chris Roe 5/41 off 17.1 and Jack Cafarella 5/50 off 21 were outstanding in bowling out Elwood 2 for 154 in 63.1 overs. With a strong batting lineup in they should go on to claim their second win of the season. The 4ths hit up 8/253 with a great all round display against Elwood 4. Contributions were across the board including Liam Mouat 46no, David Pook, 43 Shane Healy 32,  Nick Jewell 31no, Tadhg Fitzgibbon 25 and Chris Long 25.

In an amazing day for the 5th XI, a score of 4/319 was rattled up. Michael Edwards hit up another half century but recent under 16 players Jack Keen with 100no (his maiden ton) and Bayley Warner 61 (his maiden half century) hit Mackie's attack to all parts of the field. U14 Ben Prior also weighed in with a well compiled 21no.

The 3rds were bowled our for 98 but have Moorabin West 3/30 with Nick Knight taking 2/10 off six overs.

The T20 side has made the semi final against Bentleigh ANA. The game is at home on Tuesday 02/12/14 starting at 5:15pm. Get down and support the boys to help push them into the grand final the following week.
