The Longmuir boys are back on the winners list with a much improved performance against Bentleigh ANA. After winning the toss and batting the boys compiled 4/233 with Guy Martyn 69no, Luke Dallas 54, Anton (new life member) Duddy 48no and Brett Gibb 38. The bowlers took the game away from the opposition during the middle overs with Mark Jenkin 1/26 and Liam Polinelli 1/29 off 8 overs respectively dramatically slowing the run rate. Mark Devereaux then chimed in with 3/59 as Bentleigh ANA chased runs at the end of their innings.
The 4ths with Chris Bishop 39no, Jeremy Dunning 33, David Pook 33 and Eddie Carmine 5/19 and 6ths with J Mayne 51, O Jewell 3/23 and M Cutler 2/29 both remain undefeated.
The 2nds after a great bowling display with R Pierce 3/16 M McIntyre 2/2 N Knight 2/29 restricted Cuden to 8/157 off their 38 overs. Unfortunately they could only respond with 9/99 with Paul Bennett 38 and Nick Knight 17 being the only ones to get stuck in. They are sitting with 1 win and 1 loss after the 2 rounds.
The 3rds and 5ths both suffered narrow losses. Jacko's boys with the bowlers Chris Roe 2/21 and Patty Inglis 2/37 restrictied Omega to 7/137 wilst the batsmen only fell short by 9 runs having Scotty Campbell 35no and Patty Inglis 26 leading the way. Similarly Michael Edwards charges only fell short by 4 runs against Moorabin Park with Michael Edwards 36 and Luke Dalwood 3/29 leading the way with bat and ball. Both teams are not far away from their elusive first win for the season.
