Season 2014/15 is almost here!
Hi all and welcome to the new season at ESBCC
Last year provided some great highlights but also left us all with a sense of unfinished work. There has been a lot of effort in the off season to set up the framework for the club to have a successful 2014/15 season and now it’s time for the players to jump on board and get involved.
The off field team entrusted to lead the club is as follows:
President: James Ross
Vice President: Mark Jenkins
Secretary: Brian King
Treasurer: Andy Corp
Committee: Peter Mannix, Steve Inglis, Kelee Dennis, Tabitha Ransom, Luke Dallas, Chris Roe and Simon Polinelli
Senior Coach: Clint Ferguson
Assistant Coaches: Mark Devereaux and Brett Gibb
Please check the website for contact details and also for all news relating to the club. This year you will also see much more communication on Facebook and Twitter to help keep us all better informed of what is happening.
The committee is also proud to have appointed the following captains to lead our on field endeavours:
1st XI Captain: Mark Devereaux
2nd XI Captain: Brett Gibb
3rd XI Captain: Stephen Usher
4th XI Captain: Peter Mannix
5th XI Captain: Michael Edwards
6th XI Captain: David Cafarella
As you can see our team numbers have risen to 6. There are also some initiatives that have been put into place to really work on improving our on field exploits. Instead of fleshing those out here we are holding a pre-season players meeting where our leaders will outline the pre-season program and what is expected of all. This is kindly being hosted by our Club Skipper Mark Devereaux.
This meeting is seen as compulsory for all who wish to play in the first 3 teams this year but ideally all players vying for senior selection are required to attend.

Registration and Fees
By now you should have received details enabling you to log on to my cricket website to access direct debit payment of your subs which are as follows:
Student concession: $200
Juniors (U18): $190
If you are unable to make full payment of fees you must contact either James Ross or Mark Jenkin to make alternate arrangements. Only paid up players or those who have made arrangement with the club will be eligible to play matches this year, so please get this sorted as soon as possible. Many of the costs encountered by the club are done so at the beginning of the year and your help in this will be greatly appreciated.
That's enough for now, we really are looking forward to a great season both on and off the pitch and know we will see you all at the pre-season players meeting next Wednesday.
