The 1sts playing Washington Park ended up with 8/244 with Caillin Austin 3/79, Patty Singh 2/32 and Jayme Saleem 2/54 sharing the wickets after the home team at one stage was staring at a massive score. With a very quick outfield and some good batting, the boys will be able to haul the runs in.

The 2nd's made a fantastic 6/232 with Brett Gibb 120no the star. He was ably supported by Nick Singh 55, Nathan Murphy 20 and Kim Pitt 13. With a strong bowling attack at the teams disposal, the proposition of back to back victories is on the cards.

The 3rds eventually made a defendable score of 9/171 against Melbourne Hellenic after being 8/84 earlier in the day. The chief architect was Sotty Campbell with 62no at No 9 ably supported by the lower order.

The 4ths bowled out Elwood for 80 with Ryan McMurray 5/37 Tim Berger 3/32 and David Pook 2/6 the main men in decimating the batters. The boy only need 17 more runs to win on the first innings reaching 3/64 by the close of play with David Pook also making 34 with the bat.

The 6ths have already won their match and can push for an outright after bowling out Bentleigh ANA for 88. The best bowling was Owen Read 4/16 and Michael Cutler 2/19. In return the boys are 2/136 with Dave Cafarella 84no and Jason Crossley making 47. The decision re the follow on with be made by Peter Mannix, most likely with Doggy on 99no!

All teams are well placed for victory next week. Make sure everyone is at training this week to get rid of any rusty parts of their games.

The Longmuir & Woolnough Wrap has also been updated with week 1 of Round 8 discussed.
