Junior Development Program


The first Super Sunday was a great success with around 40 juniors taking part, please go to the gallery to see all photos of the day.

 

The committee of the East Sandringham Boys Cricket Club are pleased to extend an invitation to all players to attend a number of skills sessions run by the senior coach and senior players from our club.

This is a great opportunity for all players to learn from the best players in our club in the areas of bowling and batting. Specialist bowlers and batsmen will be in attendance as coaches.

The schedule of the skills program is made up of two parts;

  • Clint Ferguson, the club coach and others senior players to run the sessions
  • This is two 1 hour sessions for each Sunday
  • Two opportunities for all junior players to receive some good practical training in batting and bowling from the best in our club.
  • BBQ at conclusion of sessions at midday
  • Great development for junior players and good bridge between the junior and senior clubs

  • SENIOR PLAYERS IN ATTENDANCE TO COACH AT SESSIONS
  • This involves all players by their age group to attend one 1.5 hour sessions.
  • Sessions Sunday 9.00 – 10.30 and 10.30 – 12noon per the above schedule
  • Sessions will cover batting/bowling and as such requires a batting and bowling coach at each session.

This is an important step in the development of our junior players and is seen by the committee as a great opportunity to establish stronger links between the junior and senior clubs.

The future is of this program is dependant on good attendances for these initial sessions.

As there are many people providing their time can you please ensure all players come with their best attitudes and behavior in order for all to maximize the opportunity.
